Dorothy Young Obituary
Young's death was announced Wednesday by Drew University, where she was a prominent donor and patron of the arts. Drew spokesman Dave Muha said Young died Sunday at her home in a Tinton Falls, N.J., retirement community.
Young joined Houdini's company as a teenager after attending an open casting call during a family trip to New York. During her year with Houdini's stage show in the mid-1920s, she played the role of "Radio Girl of 1950," emerging from a large mock-up of a radio and performing a dance routine.
Young went on to become a professional dancer, performing in several movies. She also published a novel inspired by her career.

Our lifespan is 70 and 80 with special mightiness. ( Psalm 90:10) Dorothy was blessed with 103 years of special mightiness. may your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well-lived.

I was lucky to go see her at her home in ocean grove she made me feel welcomed . We spent many hours talking and she signed many things for me but the most specail gift was her friendship . Harry was once married to a sister of my uncle by marriage. Her maiden name was Kahn from Staten Island. I just learned of Ms Young's passingand send best wishes to her family. Sydney Klein

The efforts and talents of his stage assistants such as Dorothy Young must certainly have enhanced the performances of the great Houdini. What incredible stories she must have shared with those who met and knew her! My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of a wonderful lady.

Psalm 90:10 states- In themselves the days of our years are 70 years, And if because of special mightiness they are 80 years. Although she lived a long life to be 103 years old that is amazing. This doesn't relieve the pain that is felt by her loved one's . May our Heavenly Father give you the strength and comfort from the scriptures.
