Gene gave real meaning to the term "gentle
giant". A gentleman all the way who will be sorely missed. Met him early in our NU
days after he had transferred from Cincinnati and always enjoyed being around
him.

Gene Gossage and I played football together at Northwestern. I remember Gene as an excellent player and a really decent guy who was a pleasure to get to know. My condolences to his family.

Gene will be missed. He was a very talented person. As we reflect on his life may the words found at Revelation 21:3,4 comfort us all.
