Anthony Sedlak Obituary
Sedlak's family released a statement Monday saying he collapsed this past Friday from an undiagnosed medical condition and his body was found in his North Vancouver apartment.
Sedlak was best-known as the host of Food Network Canada's show "The Main," and a judge on "Family Cook Off," as well as author of the Canadian bestseller cookbook, "The Main."
Sedlak won a silver medal representing Canada at the World Junior Chef Challenge in New Zealand and the Food Network's Superstar Chef Challenge at age 23, before hosting his own show for four seasons.
The statement from the Sedlak family thanks his fans and associates for all their love and condolences, and says a private funeral service will be held in Vancouver.

Anthony was the most inspirational chef on TV; he was my favorite! I loved to see him - he had such passion and energy. And such a great smile!

I so much enjoyed watching Anthony on, "The Main." I had just moved to Montreal after my husband's death and listless, lonely as I was, watching Anthony's show was a highlight in my day. What a lovely, wonderful, inspirational soul. God bless you, his family. I continue to pray for your courage as you traverse through your grief. Know that he touched so many .

Now I know how my friends and family felt when they saw me at my sons wake. Unfortunate for me I never saw Anthony Sedlak on his cooking show. But his photo with sticking something in his mouth and his eyes lit up say so many wonderful things about him. Then to see the photo of him with the bikini beauty and other lady made me feel sad because he is just so very handsome and young. A bit younger than when I lost my only child/son Joe riding his motorcycle when his life was taken 2 years ago by an impaired drunk driver in an SUV. My heart goes out to the Anthony's Mom.
