Everyday i think of you and the time we spent together. Although though we were apart coming to West the weekend we spent with each other means more to me than youll ever know. Now you rest with the angels in heaven, and your smile is something that will never escape me and i pray it never does

There is not a day that doesn't go by that I don't think of you. You were such a good friend to me and I will always cherish the memories I have of you.
You died doing what you loved to do, helping others in time of need, you will always be my hero Cyrus and I miss you so much.

May the love of friends and family carry you through these dark days. I know that as an Eagle Scout Cyrus learned to follow the Scout Oath and Law in his daily life. He lived to help others and make a difference in the lives of others who he crossed paths with. Cherish the many memories that Cyrus gave us as he grew up to be an outstanding and loving man. I am sure that Cyrus and my oldest son Donald Ray, who died in Feb 2003 are walking the paths in Heaven trading scout stories and watching over us. We must wait till the day that our Lord calls us home to be in heaven with him and our departed sons who are gone from us but not forgotten. As the Compassionate Friends Co-Leader of the Sugarland Chapter my thoughts and prayers go out to Mark and Lucy and the entire the Reed Family as they travel this grief journey. Yet you need not walk it alone. You have friends and neighbors to walk with you. May God give you strength and comfort during this time of grief

I had only met you once, in the flower shop in Hillsboro. Our conversation lasted awhile, but your smile lasted even longer. I talked about your laugh and your smile for days and couldn't get it out of my head. I can't imagine if you touched my heart in those few moments of one conversation with me, how your family and friends must feel right now. You will be missed. Thank you for your courage and for protecting everyone you did.... may you rest in peace with Him now and look down on us from up above.

Sorry for the loss of your loved one.
2 Cor. 1:9 In fact, we felt within ourselves that we had received the sentence of death. This was that we might have our trust, not in ourselves, but in the God who raises up the dead.

Curus - My memories of you as a young man in the FFA -
He was a great friend who had a lot of potential in his life. I remember how he would help Kim with the runs to College Station for feed for the heifers and goats. He would always help with all the heavy lifting. He was a great young man who would always make us laugh no matter how bad your day was going. I am proud to have known Cyrus and to have had a friend like him on our side. My your heart rest in peace.

My time with Cyrus was brief but I learned many things about him. He loved his family, he loved God, he lived to be a firefighter, he was intelligent and hilarious with a quick wit, and he would do anything to help anyone. I feel lucky to have known him. To his parents: you raised a truly impressive young man who has impacted countless lives with his laughter, love, and bravery. Cyrus, I know you are in Heaven with that beautiful smile on your face.

Mark,Lucy and Sarah
You know that Anne and I share in your grief. We've known each other for years and are all one family. Cy's passing reflects the loss of one "good ole boy" (and you know I mean that with the deepest respect)but his loss and the other first responders probably saved the life of thousands. The times that I was able to spend some time with Cy swimming in the pool at the house to listening to West Texas music, shooting pool and just BSing at the Town and campground are memories that will always be in my heart. I'm so sorry for your los. Rest in Peace until we meet again.
Love you all.
