A licensed nurse, she worked at a veterans center in nearby Norman.
"She enjoyed spending every moment she had with her children and grandchildren," her family wrote in her obituary.

You are in heaven with my dear mother . I looked up to as a mom you ha ve helped me in so many ways .. I was also in the tornado and yes I almost died. Two blocks from plaza towers and our home is gone.I turned around from heading to work got to the house in time and the tornado was in the back yard parked my car ran in the house got ahold of our dog by her collare and windows were busting plus my boyfriend Toby was on the phone heard everything all I remeber is beng picked up and thrown across the house with dog . Manage to save the our dog now she's in heaven after kidney failure 13 years old ...we were traped with the bath tube on us and her underneath me .the toliet was on my leg plus keeping from crushing the dog .. I manage to kick the tub over twice that day was like a bomb went off .... but want you to know I love u ...good bye miss cindy hugs and kisses ..... to your family sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person ...our lives have been changed....... I'm a hero and a survior but I want you to know I think about you all the time and I know how much you loved god ..

I also worked with Cindy at ICRH in Clinton and remember that she was a very caring and loving nurse.She was a positive person and was kind to others. Prayers are with all her family, praying for your strength and comfort. God bless all of you during this sad time. I know Cindy is with our Lord sending love to all her family.

I have known Cindy and her family since grade school. Her sister Debbie and brothers Steven and Daniel we all played together. I"m so sad to her of her passing. Cindy loved working with the veterans and loved her job and was very dedicated she will be missed greatly.Cindy would always talk about her grand kids and enjoyed getting off work so she could be with them,my prayers and thoughts will go out to her family,she will be missed.

Cindy and I didn't always get along, but after time went by, she would see me in the hall and say," HEY PAULIE", me and Sharon hill worked with her at night, and she was a good nurse, and always talked about her grandkids, she will be missed, and my prayers go out to the family, and I hope her grandkids Know tht she will be looking down upon them and always will, and she definitely had god in her heart!

My Heart Breaks for Cindy's Family and Friends. I have know Cindy since we were little girls when her family lived in California in the 70's I seen Cindy and her sister Debbie a year half ago and it was like nothing changed.. We had a great time...Cindy was loved by many.. Cindy was a Angel on earth and now in Heaven as she starts her new Journey in the Heavens above.. .....

I worked with Cindy for 6 years and could always count on her take excellent care of her residents. She told me many times how much she loved her job and residents. We had many conversations about her family and there was nothing she would not do for them. I loved her dearly and many of us have a void that will never be filled. Rest in Peace Cindy.

Cindy was an amazing woman, mother, sister, grandmother, daughter, a very rounded equally awesome everything that showed when she worked, stayed after shift to take care of family, cares for her mother. Cindy was one of the best nurses I've worked with. We had our ups and downs with each other but in the end we always worked them out together,ending up with jokes and laughs. She showed me alot of respect and I had alot of respect for her, she spoke her mind and kept things real. She was easy for me to get along with and we had alot of good times. She loved her children and grand babies very much;she always had me laughing and the harder I made her laugh the harder she had me laughing. I only hope when the day comes that I'm a nurse I can be as good as her....she will be dearly missed...we love you cindy!

Cindy worked in the Jim Thorpe Rehab Unit at Clinton. She will always be remembered as a great nurse and friend. Years later we still can hear her wonderful laughter and great smile.
