LOUDONVILLE: Darius Rowland Plumley went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in the UH Samaritan Medical Center, at the age of 84.
He was born on November 10, 1941, in West Virginia to parents Walter & Sarah (Stowers) Plumley. Darius proudly served his country by joining the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Darius married Patricia Dolan on June 19, 1967 and the pair have been married for 58 years.
He worked at Crown North America in Wooster for 25 years until retiring in February of 1997. Darius was an active member of the Loudonville Lions Club for 25 years and the Loudonville Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He and Pat also really enjoyed playing euchre with the euchre club on Tuesday evenings.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Plumley; his siblings, Wilfred Plumley of Hamlin, West Virginia, and Wanda Wallace of Idaho; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Darius was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
A funeral service honoring Darius's life will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025, in the Loudonville Baptist Church, 124 S. Market Street, Loudonville, at 11 a.m. The burial will take place on Saturday in the Plumley Family Cemetery in West Virginia.
