It is truly a beautiful thing to enjoy life that long. But, it is always sad when it is cut short because of our first parents Adam and Eve. (Rom 5:12) But, our Creator hold out a promise of everlasting life in view. (John 17:3)

My grandmother was an amazing woman. She loved life and taught her grandchildren the value of life and love. She had a great sense of humor and believed in old fashion values. She will be missed by all who knew her. Two children's treats were "Wilitos (Crapes garnished with Sugar and Cinnamon) / Tortillitas Con Huevo (Scrambled eggs, fresh salsa, and monterey cheese garnished with sour cream) comfort food. But because she loved coffee, there was something special about sitting at the end of the evening listening to her reminisce her life and have her listen to your days with her classic advise which was always so appropriate. She will be missed and she was definitely loved. Nana Chole got to spend time and lived with all her children from time to time. Her memories will live on in generations to come as my mother taught me her values as I taught my son, Martin. I am attaching two special photos. My grandmother and my mother who now both are in heaven with Our Lord and a family tree about her children. Love you always Nana Chole Love your first daughter's Daughter Xochitl Zumaya-Cruz

What a wonderful life for Mrs Mexia and a beautiful testament to our Heavenly Father. According to the scriptures we have seventy or eighty years unless by special mightiness (Psalm 90:10)...so she certainly did have special mightiness! May the God of peace give you comfort in this difficult time. 2Cor 1:2-4

So sorry for your loss, What a wonderful thing to live that many years and have such a loving family, I know that she must have loved life it's self to be able to reach 114yrs young that in it's self is something that we all wish we could accomplish, I'm wondering how many family members she has and wow the stories that she was able to tell them all about her 114yrs that she was on this earth, Hopefully there are stories that I would love to hear, Just to think how her life was when she was a child that is what makes here such a special person to have been able to see generations come and go some of us only dream of that but she lived it, That is something that some of us will never be able to do. Bless the Family and those that she leaves behind to Cherish her life and the Memories,

We could possibly say that because Mexia lived to be 114 yrs; maybe we were created never to die. Mexia lived a simple life and kept a positive attitude. It's nice to have heard about her...
May Ms. Soledad Mexia family have peace, hope and continue to pray to endure.

Dear Mexia Family, I would like to send you my sincere condolences for your lost. The fact that Ms. Mexia was able to experience 113 years of life, does not lessen the grief. For our Creator states that Ecclesiastes 3:11 that he put "time indefinite in our hearts" we instinctively desire to live forever. Mexia Family, soon this desire will be accomplished
