An Icon in the industry as myself had dabbled in it down in South Beach when IRENE MARIE AGENCY was around back in 90s ,Eileen personally groomed my friend and Fashion Model Jill Wolfe from Jupiter,Fl now in Paris. Jill as I knew her when she was only 20 years old set the industry on fire...Well Respected and Remebered as a class act and pioneer of her craft...You are missed and thought of ALWAYS..

I turn 64 in 2 days. And what do I do to celebrate being beautiful at this age?
I pull out my 'Beauty Bible' and exercise as she taught me in my twenties!!!
I love my Beauty Godmother, Eileen.

John 11:33 says: "When Jesus saw her weeping and the Jews who had come with her weeping and groaning, he groaned within himself and became troubled." Jesus expressed tears when his friend Lazarus died, he knows how it feels to lose a dead loved one and he understands what you and your family are experiencing. May this bring you and your family comfort in this time of need. cjp (fla.)

Have peace in knowing your mom was a true, original pioneer. My dad, Mort Weldon, knew Eileen for many years and booked many of her models in his work as a commercial photographer (E. 40th St. and Washington Sq. studios). It is truly the end of a (better) era!

This is a favorite from “The Book of Model Beauty” :
(Need a chair) :
For the thighs :::> rocking back and forth, then kick
One evening (1978), my mother took out a chair and began emulating me.
Out of all the many exercises, she chose that one!
It was then I realized I'd made ‘Eileen Ford' a household name.
For the first time, I learned the hands and feet can be exercised, too.
She's was right- it's never too late to be more beautiful.
I believe the FORD spirit will forever live on in top models around the world.

Jamie, Katie, Billy and Lacey ,
I am sending these condolences on behalf of my mother, Lucille (Chase) Lewis, who was 1 of Eileen's original 7 models that started the Ford agency. Mom retired in 1953 to raise a family but she and Eileen stayed in touch through the years. Their last visit together was in May 2008 at your parent's estate in NJ. It was a wonderful reunion for the two of them plus your father and mine.
I have read many of the delightful letters your mother sent to my parents through the years. I plan to keep them along with a collection of my mother's modeling ads. Mom was a favorite of Bergdorf Goodman ads in addition to her cover shots.
Your mother's passing is truly the end of an era, not only for the fashion industry but for our family as well. However, we are comforted by knowing that our fathers were there to welcome her.
Sincerely, Chrissie (Lewis)

To Eileen, My Beauty Godmother:
I was 26 in 1978 when I purchased “The Model Handbook”. Over the decades I used the book religiously. It actually became my ‘beauty bible'. As I improved in looks, I dubbed Mrs. Ford as my ‘beauty godmother‘. Even as a 60+ year old. With the face/neck exercises, I've never needed surgery. - The complements keep coming!!!
I once introduced these techniques to the late Rev. Ike in 1987. Within a month, his neck was gorgeous- he made sure I saw it.
I attended a 45th high school reunion last June, when a classmate remarked: “You have the least wrinkles than anybody here”.
Having a knowledgeable woman as a mentor in self-care means a lot to me. I am so sorry I did not meet her in person, but now in spirit, she's more able to guide me in physically looking my best

What a wonderful legacy you left for your family. While there was plenty of glamor you worked hard. The best gift you gave your children though was seeing the love you and Jerry shared for each other. Thank you for the memories I will hold forever of the times we spent together and the lessons you taught me. Arlene Wilson

With heartfelt condolences I express my sorrow for the loss of a legend. Shaping lives and helping natural beauties embrace principles that make them success stories is no easy feat. Many should be eternally grateful to Mrs. Ford for doing just that. May the God of all comfort grant the Ford family comfort, peace, and pleasant memories during this difficult time.

Mrs Ford was a classy woman. She was smart and a very humble person. She was a good role model for all women. She knew herself well and stayed true to who she was. May the peace of Christ be with her family and friends.

Dear Ford Family, I met my Husband Jmaes V Hart of 40 years, in Eileen's office in May 1971 …. I have always thanked, Eileen, Jerry and Gene for that magic moment .. our son jake (1979) and our daughter julia (1982 and Spence School Class of 2000) are not only part of what Fords gave to my life … but now also our first grandchild 5 week old Arthur ….. I had the joy of spending time with Eileen a few years back, at one of our "old" Model lunches and she was still a bright Light … with love and only Happy Thoughts Judy "Nugent" hart

Katie and Lacey,
My heartfelt sorrow at this exceptionally sad news. Eileen was such an original. I feel so lucky to have worked for her. She was one tough cookie and I loved it. I am often surprised how few women are in charge even today, but your mother was an original, unapologetic trailblazer way back when.
May your most favorite memories buoy your spirit at this very sad time.
With love,
Tracy Flynn
