Whilst I never knew him personally, I am a fan
The wiii was my first console and my earliest memory is playing new super Mario Bros Wii with my parents. Now I play the new super Mario Bros deluxe game on the switch with my children. I want to tell you thank you, for all of the great memories for me and all the other fans, may you rest in peace

Even though I never knew the man in person, his genuine friendliness and apparent passion for games spread to anyone who had ever had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Iwata onscreen. He truly was a gamer at heart. If it weren't for him, so many of the memories that I hold closest to me would not exist, and, as cheesy as it sounds, I likely would not be the same person. I could go on and on about him, but I can't. So, in short, thank you, Mr. Iwata. From the bottom of all of our hearts, we thank you for making each of our days just a little bit better. I hope to meet you in the big blue someday.

The Wii was my very first game console and I grew up playing it with my mom and dad. My best friend and I used to meet up at 6PM every day after school on our DS's to hang out. I wouldn't be able to have so many incredible memories if you hadn't saved Nintendo. Thank you, Mr.Iwata, for making so many children and adults happy with all of your creations.

MIKEY finally met yesterday his favorite character, Mr. SATORU IWATA.
Since yesterday Mikey is blissful in heaven, because a new tenant has just arrived and not any tenant this is the character which he most admired: Mr. Satoru Iwata, to whom could not meet during his lifetime now is very close to him, I imagine how excited he must be; but who is that character? We neither knew until one day that Mikey named him, turns out that when they were doing to Mikey the video that they would present at the Gala of "Miracles for Kids", the producer of the video who for perquisites of his office was well acquainted with Hollywood stars, and having had a very special affection to Mikey, at the end of the video shoot he said to us that he wanted to fulfill one wish to him, for which he asked what famous person he would like to know, we thought he would say Selena Gomez Brigitte Miller, Demi Lovato, etc. but without thinking twice he said Satoru Iwata, that answer left us all surprised, and when asked who he was, he said he was the CEO of Nintendo, shocked the producer told Mikey that this character for various reasons it was impossible to contact, one is that he not belonged to celebrities, other is that he was too busy, and besides he lived in Japan and would be very difficult to get him from such a distant place; and when asked why he wanted that character, he said because Mr. Iwata was the person he most admired and wanted to sit with him, to talk and ask many questions to resolve concerns about the Nintendo games, thus it was Mikey so different and surprising, he not was a child of the common, and when we thought we knew him well, always gave us a new surprise, we then engaged in researching more about his favorite character and we realized that Mikey really admired him and that every day he listened enchanted all his video conferences ... well yesterday Mr. Satoru Iwata went to heaven, he gives us sadness and joy at the same time, sad because Dalia and I began to admire and love him from the day that we learned about the admiration which Mikey feel for him, and joy because finally Mikey will fulfill his wish to meet with the character which of one way or another was rejoice his life, but I imagine the most interested in meeting with his faithful fan is Mr. Iwata, and I say that he went to heaven because it is the place it deserves who has dedicated his life to bring happiness to so many children, and certainly in the door of heaven it was Mikey anxious waiting to finally have with him those long conversations that he could not have when he lived... rest in peace Mr. Iwata, well rather get peace because knowing that my son is tenacious when it comes to resolving concerns I doubt very much that he will allows you to rest.

To Iwata's family
When he came to this universe, he was a pure gift to every person. Though nothing lasts for ever. When he got the bile duct tumor, the light bolt had to burn out. As he had his last heart beat and blew his last breath, he became an angel. The tears of his fans will be in peace and so will Iwata. My last word to Iwata are thank you for everything that you have done and dream about your life, your sweat, sweat life.

The first time I played Mario, I was about 6. I still remember how immersed I was, I clearly remember he graphics and the level. 13 years later, my boyfriend bought an NES. Playing Mario after all those years was still as immersive and entertaining as it was back then, and this opened me the door to the gaming world. Donkey Kong, Duck Hunt or Ice Climber were among many games we marathoned. I want to thank you for all you have done to give people the opportunity to immerse themselves in a different world, offered them experiences incomparable to any other form of entertainment that exists. Your contribution to the happiness of the world will be fondly remembered, and your legacy will live on not only through us, this generation, but through your characters. You are evergreen.

From the moment my mom brought in a n64 my life changed. I would usually go outside by my self doing something random at most times and messing with my brothers. Life was tough, especially when there's not much fun in it. But the moment I turned on the console and started playing Mario kart, I was brought into this world and amazement and pure fun that I had never experienced before. As I got older, I always wanted to have something of Nintendo in my possession because I knew that what ever they developed would be fun. They never let me down once on any game and I hope they continue this way now that Mr.Iwata is no longer with us RIP Satoru Iwata
