Paul Genkichi Iwata passed away on January 11, 2024 at 89.
Born in Nebraska to Aiko and Mataichi, Paul grew up with his siblings on the family farm before moving to Colorado in 1945.
After graduating from College High School in 1952 Paul joined the Army. In 1958 he married Louise Vallejos & worked at IBM before retiring in 1992.
Paul is survived by his wife Louise; daughter Gayla; son in law Dirk; grandchildren Hana & Beckett; siblings Mabel, May, & Phil; & many nieces, nephews, & extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held January 17 2024, beginning at 11:30am at his favorite restaurant Old Chicago (10180 Grant St). Family and friends are invited to come share memories & have a beer in Paul's honor. The family encourages attendees to bring a written favorite memory of Paul that will be put in a book for Louise.

Louise, I am the daughter of Werlie and Betty Roberts, Carla. I´m so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I remember the last time I saw you. You came to mom´s house to see if there was anything you could do regarding the loss of my mother. That was so thoughtful of you. Take care of yourself.
