DouglasMy parents were close friends of Jim and Sybil. Mom and Sybil were roommates at Mount Holyoke College and remained lifelong friends. The four of them, I'm sure are having a "feets up" in heaven right now. Jim and Sybil were an example for all Americans to aspire. God bless them both.

STOCKDALE FAMILY
I THINK GOD FOR THIS COURAGEOUS WOMAN. SHE DID SO MUCH FOR OUR MILITARY AT A TIME WHEN IT WASN'T POPULAR TO SPEAK OUT. SURELY, SHE HAD MUCH TO DO WITH OUR MEN AND WOMAN COMING HOME FROM VIET NAM. SHE WAS AN EXAMPLE TO ALL OF US, ESPECIALLY MILITARY WIVES, OF LOVE, STEADFASTNESS, AND TO DO RIGHT REGARDLESS. SHE WILL BE MISSED FOR THE PERSON SHE WAS AND THE EXAMPLE SHE SET FOR THE REST OF US TO FOLLOW.
MAY GOD COMFORT YOU AND YOUR MANY MEMORIES BRING YOU JOY

Sybil Stockdale was equally as Courageous as her husband Jim. A Lone & Loud voice when Cowardice was the accepted way. Sybil would NOT accept it. God Bless & keep you Sybil. May your family gain Strength & Comfort from the Legacy you & Jim leave them.

She was a very protective mother, wife, and friend to her family. And inspiration for many women today, when it comes to be submissive and dedicated wives. We want to express our sincere condolences for the loss of your dear mother. May the love and comfort that only our Heavenly Father provides, be also granted to you - for He knows the pain you are experiencing today and He promises to carry you through this distressing time, (Psalms 102:17 He will pay attention to the prayer of the destitute; He will not despise their prayer).

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family and close friends of Mrs. Sybil Stockdale. Mere words cannot convey the sorrow I felt for your loved one. Please know that you are not alone, the heartfelt hugs from your family and friends will help you to cope. But more importantly the God of all comfort promises to be close to the brokenhearted and he hears those crushed in spirit. Do pour out your feelings to the God who promises to comfort your hearts.-Romans 15:4.
