Peters, who stood 5 feet 6 inches tall, was born March 15, 1942, in Suffolk, England. Her acting career was preceded by work as a model. She was cast as Bond girl and nurse Patricia Fearing by the director of "Thunderball," Terence Young.

In an interview that is included with the DVD release of "Thunderball," Peters said the film "was very exciting for me, and I was very nervous since I'd never actually been on a sound stage before."

"In another corner of the studio I saw a very tall and handsome man, and I remember Terence Young said to me: 'Darling, of course, you know Sean, don't you?' Well, I'd never met Sean in my life," Peters said. "I was quite overawed by this."

Her other film credits include "Target for Killing" and "Don't Raise the Bridge, Lower the River." She appeared on British television shows including "Armchair Theatre" and "Baker's Half-Dozen."

She retired from acting before 1970, moving back to her hometown along with her husband and son.

She was preceded in death by her son.
