I moved to Derry from England in 2013 and lived there for 3 years. I heard first-hand accounts of life in Derry during The Troubles, but I was really impressed with how this beautiful city had changed and left behind the sad divisions of the past. I hope and pray that this tragic death will not reverse this progress. Lyra, may you rest in peace and may continuing peace be your legacy.

I learned of this wonderful human being when I read about her death online. How courageous and kind she was. I'll bet she inspired many others to live better lives and possibly follow in her footsteps. I am so sorry for her loss to her family, her friends and the world community.
