RIP Tom Dempsey ✝
Growing up, I saw your amazing field goal on live tv. Abba Father God/Christ his Son our Savior and the Lord Holy Spirit has a way to frustrate the proud in heart, like all the people who are not disabled . The Almighty used you, and your foot disability for his Holy mighty purposes too show the non disabled a humbling lesson. As a real young young youth, and an amazing thing happened on my end while watching the tv. The Holy Spirit communicated to me in my mind that you would make the field goal, with your foot, prior to kicking the winning, successful field goal ! I saw the camera zero in on your foot and I saw it as mighty sledgehammer to kick that amazing kick. You kicked it and I was 1,000 percent confident that your kick would make it, for the Holy Spirit said so. There were no doubts whatsoever for me, for if the Almighty said it was going to happen, it was so and is so, and it WILL happen. I thanked Abba God through Christ with the Holy Spirit for revealing that too me prior too the kick and after your mighty sledgehammer kick. I still remember that unique day in NFL history long ago. A few have equaled your kick or beat it, but they all have normal feet, while you did that kick with your foot. Your kick is will always be more amazing than current or future NFL kickers with normal feet. My condolences too the Dempsey family for your loss.

I had the honor of being Tom's Training Manager at New York Life Insurance's New Orleans General Office. It was always special to work with him as he was a great person who accepted direction and worked closely with his associates. The world was a better place because of Tom Dempsey.

Thought some of Tom's family might enjoy seeing this picture taken in Las Vegas at a Pro-Am trap shoot. We only met this one time. Tom shot on my team at this event. Robert Newhouse is in the right side picture and I have forgotten the tall man's name. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Mr. Dempsey, A true champion in so many ways. Tom lived right down the tracks from where I grew up in Woodbury / West Deptford N.J. area when playing for the eagles. As a young fan, I was always in awe that we had the great eagle kicker living close by. I am sure I can speak for all my fellow eagle fans, Tom was a huge inspiration and well loved in the Philly area and will always have a place in our hearts for him. My condolences to Tom's family and may God bless the great Tom Dempsey.
