My prayer is that the precious memories you carry in your heart will bring you comfort during this time of sorrow. Grief is the process God uses to bring us to a place of wholeness and part of our journey to healing.
Mr. Danny was truly a sweet and beautiful person that I had the pleasure of knowing for a few years; I was deeply saddened by the news of his passing. He is now on that joyful journey that which God promises.

I have always been a big fan of James Brown and all who worked with him and made that great sound. It was always a special treat when Mr Ray came out with the cape and placed it on MR Brown. Showmanship! To Mr Rays family I am so sorry for your loss and offer my condolences. Peace to the family.

February 1st a day I will always remember. Never thought it would be my last conversation with him. I met Danny on the James Brown Show in 1966, He was always a gentleman and sharp dresser. After leaving the show Danny and I kept in touch. Always laughing about the good times we all had on the road. My heart is heavy, but I know Danny is at rest and peace. I became friends with Danny when I was secretary for Mr. Brown, and was impressed with the level of respect Danny had for not just Mr. Brown but all of his co-workers. I had the pleasure of meeting Danny Ray in April 19 67 as an amateur performer at the Apollo theater under the name Jc in the entertainers I remember him as a warm welcome brother It was James Brown‘s birthday that night and after our performance Jc in the entertainment won first place and we got a chance to talk to Danny Ray and James Brown backstage.

I saw Mr Ray and talk to him on many occasions. Always the same. In 2019 I invited him to my family Christmas eve dinner. And he came and got all the attention. Afterwards we went back to his apartment he autographed a picture to me with him putting the cape on jb.
