Jack Everett Ray

Jack Everett Ray, of Fayetteville, Arkansas passed away on December 24, 2025. He was born to the late Charlie and Gertie Ray on February 10, 1936 in Hartman, Arkansas. From a young age, Jack showed a love for baseball and was a southpaw pitcher during his school years. In 1958, Jack honorably served his country when he was drafted into the United States Army. Following his service, he wed the love of his life, Donna Alderson, on January 28, 1961. Together, they built a home filled with love and raised three children, creating memories that would be treasured for decades. Jack's faith in God was central to his life, giving him strength and guiding the way he loved and cared for his family. Jack was a quiet and contemplative man in public, but with his family he was outgoing and playful, often showing his love thru teasing. He had a green 1949 Ford pickup truck. His children fondly remember riding in the back of it, traveling up the long driveway whenever Jack came home from work. Jack took great pride in his home, yard, and garden. Jack was a hard-working man, and remained remarkably strong throughout his life. Yet, he will be remembered most for how comforting he was, and how he always gave the best hugs.

Jack was preceded in death by his siblings, Nita Day, Mareta Adams, and Charles Ray Jr.
He is survived his by wife, Donna Ray of the home; daughter, Tina Williams of Montgomery, Illinois; sons, Matt Ray and his wife, Kristin, of Springdale, Arkansas, Mike Ray and his wife, Christy, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Brandon Williams, Spencer Williams and Allison, Kirsten Rowland and Tom, Jesse Ray and Monica, Reannon Abshier and Joe, Lorelei Pianalto and Gavan; honorary grandson, Carson Taylor; four great-grandchildren; nephews, Russ Ray, Steve Day, Bob Day; niece Treon Lasiter; and many other friends, family, and loved ones.

Jack leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
