Carol Jean Ray, 87, gained eternal rest on January 23, 2026. She was born in Akron, OH, to the late John and Helen Lorenz. Carol was a talented and gifted seamstress, a loving wife, mom, grandma, great-grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved and cherished her family and friends and treated everyone with kindness and respect. Carol was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and enjoyed the fellowship of the Young Concordians ladies' group.
She is survived by her daughters, Denise (Jim) Kouri, Cheryl (Dave) Milkovich, Deborah (Steve) Rutledge, and Kimberly (Chuck) Chenault; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and her sister, Sharon. Carol also leaves behind the wonderful staff and residents of The Gables of Green. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Bill, and sisters, Sandra and Beverly.
Visitation will be held at Anthony Funeral Home, 4178 Massillon Rd., Uniontown, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service. Interment at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Rev. Jon Carpenter will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Gables of Green - Activities Dept., 2045 Franks Parkway, Uniontown, OH 44685.
