Mr. William "Bubba" Ray passed from this life Saturday evening, March 14, 2026, in Texas City.

Born August 26, 1962, in Galveston, TX, Mr. Ray had been a lifelong resident of Texas City and La Marque. He spent more than 50 years working as a dedicated brick mason in the family business, a trade he took great pride in. He attended Queen of Peace Catholic Church. His love for the water led him to earn his captain's license, and he spent many memorable days as a fishing guide for Big 3 Guide Service, sharing his knowledge and passion for fishing with others. He was also the founder of Power Circle Outdoors, reflecting his lifelong appreciation for the outdoors. Beyond his work and hobbies, he was deeply involved in his community. He coached La Marque Little League Baseball for many years, mentoring young players both on and off the field, and proudly served as a board member for Galveston Ducks Unlimited. Through his work, faith, and service, he touched many lives and will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love of the outdoors, and dedication to his family and community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Theresa (Abercombie) Ray; granddaughter, Angel Watt.

Survivors include his wife, Reniece Ray; son, William Patrick Watt; brother, Alfred Ray, Jr. and wife, Gay; sister, Alecia Lemelle; granddaughters, Alexis Horne, Anna Sophia Watt, Xara Watt; fur baby, Honey Biscuit.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Deacon Alvin Lovelady officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
