To our dear Oprah & Family: Our deep Condolences & great Sympathy, Love, Prayer for the loss of your father.
There was a saying goes:" the wealth of a person is not how much money they have left, but is how many people attended to his funeral." Mr. Vernon Winfrey has touched a lot of people and it showed in his funeral. To ease your pain of sorrow, just think of the 88 years you had shared with your dear father. You had turned out to be one of the most powerful women in the world. You are a product of his kindness & generosity, with many great talent, skills, potent DNA of making the world a better place!
My WISH in the future, is to REALLY meet you in person. I would like to give you a BIG HUG. ( I lost my dear father, only brother, mother, oldest sister, & husband...many years in between). I know you have many relatives, friends & colleagues, to console you.... just to let you know, you are welcome to call or email me if you need someone to talk to. (losing these 5 loved ones in my life, made me a stronger person and I can help people in mourning to give them pep talk).
Nashville, Tennessee is very lucky to have Mr. Vernon Winfrey! and you Oprah, is one heck of a lucky lady to have a wonderful father!
Mr. Vernon Winfrey, May you Rest in Peace, and please guide Oprah and her family always, also for her continued success to her chosen career/business.

Oprah, there are no words to say to someone that you know and do not know. I have watched you on my TV for over half my life and I know you but yet I don’t know you. Oprah, you have made me cry, you have made me think, and you have inspired me along the way and held my hand when I was alone. Thus, now it is my turn, I Pray and Hope that you are comforted by the fact that your dad was an Inspiration to so many people around the world. He showed us what a good man looks like with so much grace, class, and dignity. Oprah, I know that your daddy was immensely proud of you, and I am sure you were just as proud of him. Oprah,
Your dad made visiting relatives from out of town and attending church somehow more enjoyable for me. I loved walking into church and there he'd be - "Oprah's dad" - sitting in his same spot, up front!
He was always so welcoming , and I loved talking to him afterwards. He always remembered me.
You have my most sincere condolences for your loss. I know you will miss him and the words of wisdom only parents can give, but also, you will have them to remember always.

Vernon was a man of honor he was a father to all of us in the Cleveland Park area there was never a time that you passed that Barbershop that he didn’t smile and wave and if you were hungry he feed you he raised my brother and never asked for one dollar to help with him and for that I am forever grateful after my mother passed my dad sort checked out Winfrey as he was called took him into his home and saw that he was ok until he graduated from high school and today my brother’s heart is broken twice he just lost his father a second time I hurt for him I love you Tommy and just know the one thing you can trust is he loved you too God bless you and Oprah

He always stop and talk to anyone and would help you anyway he could. Last time I saw Mr Winfrey he was singing in a group, I said Mr Winfrey when did this happen he gave me that smile and laugh.
