Mrs. Farris was one of my college professors at Spelman College. I had wonderful days talking with her. She always remembered me when I would come back to visit. She was so loved and respected. She was always dressed impeccably for class. A truly special lady. My condolences to your family. Rest in paradise lovely lady.

She was such a shining light that not only supported Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., but was an activist and champion of civil rights in her own right. Her grace and presence will surely be missed. May God be with the King and Farris families in their time of loss.
