William "Bill" Cambre

1924 - 2024

William Paul Cambre known to all as Bill, peacefully went to heaven April 5, 2024. He was born May 16, 1924 in Carville Louisiana, to Eulalie and William Lucien Cambre. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a retired Lieutenant with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office. For 40 plus years, Bill worked in the automobile business. He was an usher for Our Lady of Mercy Church for many years, all and all he lived a full life. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa Landry Cambre. He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Ann Cambre; sisters, Lula Armond, Martha Laurent, Annette Tucker; and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, Cheryl requests that you make a donation to the charity of your choice in Bill's honor.
