John F. Weger
ELROY - John F. Weger, 93, died on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Gundersen Hospital in La Crosse. He was born on October 6, 1930 in Elroy to John Jack and Hilda (Vogler) Weger. John was united in marriage to Beverly O. Henthorn on July 18, 1951 in Elroy.
Survivors include five children, Ellen Gardner, John D. (Jeri) Weger, Pamela (Gary) Board, Paulette (Randy) Board and Dawn Ladwig, all of Elroy; 16 Grandchildren and 31 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be at the Picha Funeral Home in Elroy on Wed., November 29, 2023 from 4 - 8 pm Visitation will also be on Thurs., November 30 from 9:30 - 10:30 am at the Elroy United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 am, with Rev. Jill Nowlen officiating. Burial will follow at the Elroy City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jack Weger Memorial Scholarship, the Elroy Public Library, or Gundersen St. Joseph's Memorial Foundation.

So sorry to hear about Mr. Weger's passing. He was a fixture at RHS for many years. He was so loyal to the school and his community.

So very very sorry for your loss. He tought me Biology many many years ago. Class of 67. From dissecting frogs and night crawlers, to the science of plants. I will aways remember and be grateful for him in my life. God Bless and prayers of condolence. I am sorry I will not be with you for the funeral, as I live a long way away and cannot drive well anymore.
