Mary Sturgill Obituary
November 22, 1936 - June 8, 2025
Mary Louise Sturgill, 88, a lifelong resident of Roanoke, Va., passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
She is survived by her son, Dwayne Sturgill; her grandson, Randy Sturgill; her granddaughters, Caley Sturgill, Dee Sturgill, and Crystal Sturgill; and many great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her loving sister, Rosiland Wiley; a special daughter-in-law, Carol Sturgill; and two loving nieces, Robin Wiley and Pamela Overstreet.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Sturgill; two sons, Russell Sturgill and Wesley Sturgill; daughter, Dorinda Sturgill; as well as her sister, Shirley Overstreet.
Mary enjoyed being around her friends and family and loved to laugh and keep a clean house. She will be missed by many but never forgotten. She also was a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Fair View Cemetery with the Rev. John B. Snyder officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be shared with her family at www.Oakeys.com.

Mary was a special lady with the best smile. My daughter Lyndsay and I met her and Rosie at the Stonehenge pool. We spent several summers enjoying her company and are deeply to hear about her passing. Prayers of peace fir you all. Natalie Talbott

Dwayne ,I´m truly sorry for your loss, your mom was such wonderful lady, I always remember her keeping y´all´s house spotless, and I thought how she kept it so clean with Russ & Wes & you tracking inn & I will always remember her laying out in the sun to keep that perfect tan ,thoughts & prayers
