EAST GREENBUSH - Rose Ann Fabian, 91, passed away, Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home, surrounded by her daughters.
Rose Ann was born in Poultney, Vt., the daughter of the late Angelo and Jennie (Esposito) DiBernardo.
Rose Ann graduated from Albany Business School, and worked for the State of N.Y. for a short time. She was a parishioner of the church of St. Mary's at Clinton Heights, a member of the Miller Hose Ladies Auxiliary, and a Brownie Leader. Rose Ann was proud of her role as homemaker for her family. Everything she did revolved around them. She spent many years babysitting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include daughters, Angela F. (Robert Dec.) Colvin, Debra (John) Signorelli, Susan (Raymond/Skip) Teator; Joanne (Michael) Connolly; and sister-in-law, May DiBernardo
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Christina (Craig) Barry, Robert Colvin, Sherri (Adam) Gibson, Daniel (Faith) Colvin, R. Joseph (Christina) Teator, Michael (Junko) Connolly, Seth (Colleen) Teator, Nicole (Josh) Gregg, Matthew (Alex) Connolly, Jessie Signorelli (Tom Musumeci), Mitchell (Ileana) Connoll;y and 20 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Raymond J. Fabian, Ph.D.; sister, Marie (Stanley) Pike; and brother, Frank DiBernardo.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff on B2, at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home, for the wonderful care, love and support provided to our mom in her time of need.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours, Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m., in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer, followed by Mass at 11 a.m., at Church of St Mary, 163 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer, N.Y. Interment will be in Holy Specular Cemetery.
Contributions in Rose Ann's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association or St. Mary's Church.
