HERKIMER - Christopher John Parody, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 29, 2026.
Chris was born in New Hartford, N.Y., on May 29, 1976, to loving parents William "Bill" H. Parody III and Rosemary Spohn Parody. Chris had been raised in Herkimer, lived in the Albany area for about 30 years, and recently relocated back to Herkimer. He graduated from Herkimer High School, went on to Herkimer Community College where he received an Associates of Science in Fine Arts, and continued his education at The College of Saint Rose, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science of Fine Arts in Graphic Design.
Chris was a talented artist and graphic designer that worked for The College of Saint Rose as an Assistant Director of Marketing, SEFCU as a Graphic Designer, and most recently at Broadview Federal Credit Union as a Marketing Creative Developer.
Christopher is survived by his loving parents, Bill and Rosemary Parody; his sister, Vikki Parody Kaufman; brother-in-law, Craig Kaufman; nephew, Michael Kaufman; niece, Victoria Kaufman; and his very special aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services, Calling Hours, concluding with a funeral prayer time, will be held at The Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd., Ilion, N.Y. 13357, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Christopher's name to the American Heart Association or Herkimer County Humane Society.
