My deepest condolences to you all. I knew your mother while at Northwestern in the early 60's. After we had gone our separate ways, we were reaquainted in the late 70's. then lost cotact again. She was a beautiful, fun, funny woman and I know she's missed.

Mildred Dianne Beauregard passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, August 8, 2012 after a brief illness. Born January 24, 1942 and raised in the Echo community, Dianne was a lifelong resident of Alexandria who had recently relocated to Lafayette, Louisiana. Salutatorian of her 1960 Poland High School class, Dianne obtained bachelors and masters degrees in elementary education from Northwestern State University and LSU, respectively. Dianne was an accomplished educator and taught for many years at England Air Force Base Elementary and in the Rapides Parish School System for decades.She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvert Beauregard, Sr. and Marie Gatlin and by her brother, Calvert Beauregard, Jr. Those left to cherish her memory include her three children, Randall "Beau" Bradford and wife, Melissa, of Alexandria; Camille Bradford Zander and husband, Scott, of New Orleans; and Alison Bradford Strojny and husband, Stephen, of Lafayette; her beloved grandchildren, Abbie and Ben Bradford, Olivia Strojny and Ava Zander; sisters Carolyn Duhon and husband, Gary, of Morgan City and Elaine Hurme and husband, Jeff, of New Roads; and numerous nieces and nephews.Fondly remembered for her intelligence, beauty and wit, Dianne is best remembered for her absolute devotion to her children and her family.Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 11, 2012 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Father Scott Chemino officiating. The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church cemetery, Echo.Pallbearers will be Robert Beauregard, Richard Beauregard, Russell Beauregard, Gary Duhon, Charles Hurme and Jeff Hurme.Honorary pallbearer will be Ben Bradford.
