Deszar's Obituary

Deszar Kareem “DISCO” Calhoun was born October 8, 1972 in Detroit Michigan to Talu Calhoun and Ronald Howard.

Moving to Saginaw Michigan in 1979, Deszar attended Saginaw Public Schools. He graduated from Saginaw Beauty Academy and later Henry Ford College in Business Management.

Deszar was very outgoing. He enjoyed mingling with the crowd, meeting people, traveling, and most of all, he loved his music (DJaying). On a good day, he sung a variety of songs and melodies. His positive thinking was efficacious, always thinking positively about people and life.

He transformed his unique hair cutting skills into a hobby. However, his first love was entertainment, and he converted this passion into a business, owning and operating his Victory 1 Social Club LLC which he founded in Detroit, Michigan. He was very dedicated to his business, loyal to his friends, and appreciative of his patrons.

Deszar leaves behind a loving mother Talu Calhoun of Saginaw Michigan, three sisters Robin Calhoun from Saginaw Michigan, Dawn Calhoun Howard (John Howard Jr) of Taylor Michigan, Latise Howard from Mesa, Arizona, and one brother Jason Howard from Detroit Michigan.

Also, he leaves two sons Marquavis Ladd and Alexander Calhoun, three daughters Marqwesha Hughes, Alexis Calhoun, and Angelina Rivera – all from Saginaw. He leaves behind one grand-son Braylon Burns, two special nephews - Charles McLaurin from Saginaw, Michigan and Anthony Haymon from Taylor Michigan. Also, he leaves behind, two special nieces Heaven “The ity bity girl” Haymon Lipsey from Lansing Michigan and Keiona Mayo from Taylor Michigan, and his God-Mother, Gloria Henderson Island from Saginaw Michigan. Special mention is given to his best friend Byron Bird. Kervin Owens and all of the members at Victory 1 Social Club (The Ten Team) will not be forgotten. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Deszar was predeceased by his father Ronald Howard, his brother Ed’Gauidi Calhoun, and grandparents.Memorial Service:  Saturday, February 13, 2016 - 3:00 p.m.Paradise Funeral Chapel3100 South Washington AvenueSaginaw, Michigan  48601(989)754-4826Officiating:  Dr. Phillip Crook, Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research
