Like Lorie, I remember the anticipation of an Uncle Rob visit! The honeybee episode was a classic. Hitting golf balls over the barn, too. He had a twinkle in his eye and just made you feel good about life. He and I stayed in touch albeit it usually around the holidays, but we always said that we needed to meet somewhere to play a round of golf together. I will always regret that we never got the opportunity to play that round, but I will cherish the memories always!

Mom,Lois,Alyce and Rodger,
First let me say that I am so sorry for your loss of Uncle Rob. I know that you all have your own memories of him, and I too have my own. I remember the excitement of knowing that Uncle Rob was coming, and having everyone together on the farm, I remember the honey bee adventure, fishing at the brook, watching the card games around the table and just sitting on the porch with everyone. I also remember the tearful goodbyes.(Always hated the goodbyes!)
It's too bad things can't remain the way they were when life seemed so much simpler, but then you grow up and come to the realization that things change. Good or bad that's just the way it is.
So, Uncle Rob thanks so much for the wonderful memories. I will remember you always and forever!
Lorie
