Like Lorie, I remember the anticipation of an Uncle Rob visit! The honeybee episode was a classic. Hitting golf balls over the barn, too. He had a twinkle in his eye and just made you feel good about life. He and I stayed in touch albeit it usually around the holidays, but we always said that we needed to meet somewhere to play a round of golf together. I will always regret that we never got the opportunity to play that round, but I will cherish the memories always!

First let me say that I am so sorry for your loss of Uncle Rob. I know that you all have your own memories of him, and I too have my own. I remember the excitement of knowing that Uncle Rob was coming, and having everyone together on the farm, I remember the honey bee adventure, fishing at the brook, watching the card games around the table and just sitting on the porch with everyone. I also remember the tearful goodbyes.(Always hated the goodbyes!)
