John was a good person and a great friend who was always glad to lend a helping hand to others. I enjoyed the time we spent in late winter as he prepared for spring training and the many hunting outings that we shared.

Not only did we share the love of Baseball but we also loved to go hunting for rabbits and pheasants around Central Ohio and my beloved hometown of St. Paris. He was a terrific Pool Player and story teller with a deck of cards. He was one of the finest man our ever had the priviledge to know. I miss him.

My name is Eddie Federer. I grew up idolizing John as my baseball hero. He took me under his wing and taught me all a man needs to know about hunting. We hunted together for decades and I relish the thoughts and memoris I had with him. John and I used to shoot in trap contests and, as a matter of fact, won quite a few of them. I will never forget this man and will always love him. I am so sorry that we lost touch over the years since I moved to Florida. If there were any man in my life that I would like to model myself after, it would be John. So John, please bag a few extra phesants in heaven for me.
Love and miss you dearly,
Edddie

John was a very special man. He was always respectful, kind and a gentleman. I worked with him for many, many years and he was always a bright spot in my day. I have many flowers in my yard that Romo gave me and I've shared them with my family and friends. Every time I see them I think of him and they will always be a sweet reminder of a dear person I was fortunate enough to have in my life. All of you will be in my prayers and my thoughts. Hold on tight to the wonderful memories that you have of him and relive each great one whenever you want to feel his energy and his joy! May God give you peace and comfort.
With Love, Charlotte & George
