Brigitta Bertoia Obituary
Brigitta Valentiner Bertoia, 87, of Quakertown, died October 2, 2007 in Quakertown Center Genesis Elder Care. She was the wife of the late Harry Bertoia. Born in Berlin, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Wilhelm and CeCelia (Odefy) Valentiner. She was the author and illustrator of eight books including poetry and her life story. She also invented picture blankets by weaving her illustrations onto blankets. Survivors: Brigitta is survived by a son, Val; two daughters, Lesta and Celia; two grandchildren, Eric and Fawni. Services: will be private and at the convenience of the family. The C.R. Strunk Funeral Home Inc. (www.crstrunk.com) 821 W. Broad St., Quakertown, is in charge of the arrangements.
