CAMPBELL (Ogilvie), Alberta Catherine (nee McIntosh) 1902-2005 Passed away peacefully at Arnprior Hospital on Sunday, May 8, 2005 at the age of 102 after a brief stay due to complications from a stroke. Beloved wife of the late William Campbell (1987) and Walter D. Ogilvie (1964). Cherished mother of John (Ethel) Ogilvie of Guelph, late Walter "Mac" (1998) (Sharron) Ogilvie of Pembroke, William (Rhona) Ogilvie of Peterborough and Jean (James Blackburn) of White Lake, Ontario. Alberta began her teaching career at age 19 at Ramsayville, Ont. and taught in the Ottawa area to 1958 both before and after raising 4 children. She was loved by her extended family and by the way that she embraced life and its many challenges - from the hard 1930s to the loss of two husbands. Many thanks to the staff of Arnprior Villa and to Dr. Rivington for their care during Alberta's six happy years in Arnprior. Friends may visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod St., on Thursday, May 12, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, May 13, 2005 at 11:00am. Reception to follow. A private family internment at Beechwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory for Alberta's dearest wish for an elevator, to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 80 Daniel Street North, Arnprior, Ont., K7S 2K8 would be welcome.

My condolences to the Ogilvie and Campbell families. Mrs. Ogilvie taught me at Blackburn Public School(SS21 Gloucester) for three years in the 50's. She was a caring teacher, proud of her students' accomplishments as she was so obviously proud of her family. For four months one autumn she taught our senior class in the LOL Hall. It was a cold, drafty schoolhouse that December but through her efforts we put on a Christmas Concert that year that I will never forget. Wonderful memories of a lovely lady!

Our sincere sympathy on your loss. Mrs. Campbell was a great lady and we spent some good times chatting at the Villa. She had many stories to tell and enjoyed her family immensely. She will be missed - enjoy all the memories she gave you all.

Sincerely

Frederica Hale, Peter Straatman, and Amy Shail
