Daniel Comerford Obituary

DANIEL B. COMERFORD Age 51 years, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, formerly of Merrillville and Gary, passed away at Sherman Hospital, Elgin, Illinois on Wednesday, February 25, 2004. Daniel was a graduate of Holy Angels Grade School in Gary in 1965 and Andrean High School, Merrillville, in 1970. He was a member of the Gary Music Theater from 1965 to 1971. He was a 31 year employee of Sears and Roebuck Company. He was preceded in death by his father, James Thomas Comerford, and sister, Connie Solar. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Irene Ann (nee Keserich) of Crystal Lake, IL; sons, Daniel P. Comerford of Crystal Lake, IL and James T. Comerford of Springfield, IL; mother, Mary Z. Comerford of Crown Point; brothers, William B. (Mary Beth) Comerford of Oswego, IL and James E. (Cleo) Comerford of Glen Ellyn, IL; sister, Kathleen (Don) Mueller of Hebron; and Philip B. (Joan) Comerford of Crown Point; brother-in-law, John Solar of Dyer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services Monday, March 1, 2004, 9:15 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home (corner 101st and Broadway) Crown Point to SS. Peter and Paul Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., with Rev. Dennis Teles officiating. Interment Calumet Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the Burns Funeral Home on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Prayer services will be held Sunday at 6 p.m.

Our prayers go to his family. I was fortunate to have known Dan for three years in Mens Choir at Andrean. I believe his voice was the strongest and he excelled in all his musical dreams. I remember one of his great performances in the 'You're a GOod Man Charlie Brown' play around '70/.

I believe he took Driver Ed the same summer that I did...Ill remember him and tell my brother that was his classmate(George Dickerson-).
