Grandma, I love you.. I miss you so much each and every day you taught me so much I love me so much. I love to read books and I guess I got that Gene from you. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you there at the end I know you looking down and let me know that if I could have been there you know I would have been.. I'm going to plant some trees to pay homage and in memory of you. And when I do I'm going to have my son Malachi helped me plant the trees and I'm going to tell them all about you.. I know you're looking down on both of us love you Grandma.

I first met Mrs. Hunter in about 1991 while I was working at the Waldenbooks store in Stone Mountain. She was a very beautiful and kind lady. I remember she bought a couple magazines and a copy of the book, The Piano. Mrs. Hunter leaned toward me at the checkout counter in a conspiratorial manner and asked in a whisper, Do you know why Im buying these? I had no idea. She pointed to the book cover and said, Because thats my daughter! Her eyes just sparkled with glee. Just a delight. She was so very proud of her actress daughter HH,but I think she thought it would be in bad taste if it looked like she was proud. She would buy whatever had daughter on the cover. With her permission, I wrote down her name & phone number & whenever items came in that had HH in the cover, I would hold them at the desk and call Mrs Hunter when we had 2-3 things in, because I knew she was making a fairly long drive. After awhile, other staff members were making sure I knew about other items to set aside. Later, I met HHs sister as well.
Nice folks. Sorry I am so late to send my condolences.

Your mother was a beautiful and gracious southern lady. She was so gracious to host a "going to college" luncheon for Patsy Hardin and myself many years ago. An event I've always treasured. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Heaven is where Jesus is...
It is the place where everything lasts forever, where everything that is best remains, where everything good is celebrated, where light fills every space, where love fills every heart, where worship fills every breath, where praise never stops, where pain never enters, where joys never cease! I know that is where your mom is! my prayers and thoughts are with all, Linda Ledford Cooley

I remember Miss Dee Dee as such a lovely and gracious lady during my childhood at CPC especially youth choir and hunting Easter eggs. My mother, Gloria Hinton, still makes Miss Dee Dee's frozen fruit salad from their days together in CPC Circle. Larry and I are praying for the Hunter family.

I can not attempt to describe the warmth that Ms.Hunter showed to everyone, including her children's friends. Always a smile, her thoughtful and caring conversations. She was a positive role model and will be remembered as the true Southern Gem that she was. We were all enriched by her interaction with us over the years, and will carry her heartfelt warmth with us forever.
