BATEMAN (W E M) DFC:
I was privileged in working with Jerry from our drawing board days in 1945 and appreciating his development as an outstanding candidate in his Architectural Board Examinations through to the pinnacle of his profession as Principal Architect. A quiet achiever, a wonderful workmate, a true friend. He will be sadly missed by many. Our sympathy is extended to Yvonne, Norm and the family. From Margaret and Arthur Smith.

BATEMAN (W.E.M.):
D.F.C.
Distinguished in service to his nation at war and to this date in peace, Jerry's role as the final Principal Architect of the Architectural Division of the Public Works Department lead in some degree to the development of many architects in practice today. His staff found in him a person of great empathy and successive Ministers of Works could accept his guidance with great confidence. We, the Albion Wednesday lunch boys extend our special sympathy to Yvonne, Norm and the Bateman family.
