BATEMAN
William E M (Jerry) DFC:
4.08.1922 - 12.10.2011 Dearly loved husband of Yvonne, father to Norman, Ken (dec), Gary, Ian and Paul, father-in-law of Sandie, Ros, Stacey and Joyce. Grandfather to Jessie and Josh, Katharine and Sye, Clay, Jaxson, Tori and Blake, Clint and Michael. Dearly loved great grandfather to Maddi and Leo. Passed away peacefully at SJOG, Murdoch, surrounded by his family. A gentle man of integrity and compassion who will be greatly missed and forever loved by all those who knew him and held him dearly. The world is a better place for having had you in it.
BATEMAN (Jerry):
You are at peace at last my darling. Thank you for 65 wonderful years and our five wonderful sons and sharing the grief of losing Ken. You are my hero and always will be. I will miss your love. Goodnight, God bless, see you in the morning. Yvonne.
BATEMAN (Jerry):
In loving memory of Dad. You were a good and true man and a great example of how to live a life with honour and love. You gave constant and unwavering encouragement, guidance and support to me in our shared profession. You were my hero and my mentor. We love you Dad and will miss you always. Norm, Sandie, Jessie, Josh and Leo, Katharine and Sye.
BATEMAN (Jerry):
Dad, Grandpa, Pop-Pop. You try to find words to say but nothing can explain what you mean to us. You were always there no matter what. So caring, kind and gentle. We love and miss you. Say hi to Ken and have a game of Two Up with the 460 boys. God bless. Gary, Ros, Clay, Jaxson, Tori, Blake and Maddaleigh.
BATEMAN (Jerry):
So many special memories of a wonderful father. Sadly missed but in our hearts forever. We will miss your cheeky humour and bright smile. At peace now Dear Old Dad.
Love Ian and Stacey.
BATEMAN (Jerry):
To our loving Dad and Pop. Your journey through life has been blessed with a totally devoted wife, proud family and many great achievements.
Your tolerance, examples and lessons will never be forgotten.
We will miss your endless love, life stories and hilarious cheekiness.
Your memory will forever be in our hearts.
Love always, Paul, Joyce, Clint and Michael.

BATEMAN (W E M) DFC:
I was privileged in working with Jerry from our drawing board days in 1945 and appreciating his development as an outstanding candidate in his Architectural Board Examinations through to the pinnacle of his profession as Principal Architect. A quiet achiever, a wonderful workmate, a true friend. He will be sadly missed by many. Our sympathy is extended to Yvonne, Norm and the family. From Margaret and Arthur Smith.

BATEMAN (W.E.M.):
D.F.C.
Distinguished in service to his nation at war and to this date in peace, Jerry's role as the final Principal Architect of the Architectural Division of the Public Works Department lead in some degree to the development of many architects in practice today. His staff found in him a person of great empathy and successive Ministers of Works could accept his guidance with great confidence. We, the Albion Wednesday lunch boys extend our special sympathy to Yvonne, Norm and the Bateman family.
