Margaret Coslett Obituary

KINGSTON — Margaret Coslett, of Kingston, went to her eternal home on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015, surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Edwardsville, she was a daughter of the late Job and Margaret Cox Coslett, and a graduate of Edwardsville High School, class of 1943.

She worked at Interstate Bakeries, Kingston, and later was employed by Nardone Bakery, Wilkes-Barre, retiring in 1987.

Ms. Coslett was a lifetime member of the Bethesda Congregational Church, Edwardsville. She was also active for many years with the Firwood Methodist Senior Center.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were sisters, Mary Ellen, Blodwyn and Blanche Coslett; brothers, Richard, Franklin, John, Harold and Harry Coslett.

Surviving are her twin sister, Ruth Coslett; sisters, Rachel, Evelyn and Ethel Coslett; brothers, Job, George and his wife, Audrey, and Delbert Coslett, all of Kingston, Robert Coslett and his wife, Audrey Ann, Shavertown; sister-in-law, Bernadine Coslett, Hunlock Creek. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Bonnie Schwam, Gail Coslett, Franklin and Susan Coslett, Cheryl and Lee Wagner, Robert and Donna Coslett, Marbee and Robert Sulitka, Jacqueline Marcum, Scott and Cathy Coslett, Karen and Thomas Stepanski, Job and Diane Coslett, Margaret and Richard Davis, Thomas Coslett, Dr. Richard Coslett, Janine and Jeffrey Yass, Sharon and Philip Pierce, Jack Coslett, Nancy and David Daniels, Jeff and Judy Coslett, Steven Coslett, Patricia and Robert Rundle, Delbert and Deborah Coslett, Dr. Douglas Coslett and his wife, Kathy, David and Diana Coslett, Drs. Lynne and William Charleton, Craig and Eileen Coslett, Jason and Maria Coslett; many great and great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

The Coslett family wishes to thank the Rev. Dr. Carol A. Fleming for her spiritual visits to Margaret and the many churches and prayer circles throughout the Wyoming Valley, who kept Margaret in their daily devotions throughout her illness. The family also expresses their gratitude to the physicians and all nursing staff at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, Acute Hospital Care, Geisinger Hospital and Manor Care Rehabilitation, for their compassionate care.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday from the Harold C. Snowdon Home for Funerals Inc., 420 Wyoming Ave., Kingston. The Rev. Dr. Carol A. Fleming, of Church of Christ Uniting, Kingston, will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
