Feel very blessed to have had my knee operated on by Dr. McGuire back in 1993. He did a great job and I so appreciated his skills and and his "to the point" way of communicating. As I prepare for another knee surgery, I can only hope that it turns out as well all these years later.

Patti, I'm so sorry for your loss. I was just talking on the phone to a friend in Anchorage this morning and in a round-about way, talking about knees, Dave's name came up and I heard the sad news. You and Dave were blessed to have so many wonderful years together and those blessings extended to all of us who came in contact with you. The opportunity still arises to recount the story of you and Dave getting marooned at Shell Lake with only a few Lean Cuisines. The blueberry pie was never enjoyed more than by the 2 of you. And, I picture that is how the two of you approached life generally. Living life to the fullest leaves a lifetime of memories. God Bless.

Dr. McGuire will be missed very much.l was one of his long standing patients from 1985. He did 10 surgery's on my knees so we had a lot to talk about and got to know each other well. Our patient and. Dr. relationship was so that when I would go in to see him, he would come in the room mad and frustrated so I would tell to sit down take a deep breath and tell me what is the matter. So we had long visits and I always left smiling. My condolences go out to the family and god bless.

Patti, I regret my travel has kept me from being there to give you a hug. I've been in a lot of fun meetings and social events with you and David over the years, and I treasure the impromptu summit we had on the Ruth Glacier one day and several great fishing trips to Quinnatt Landing and other secret spots. He was for me a great guy to discuss innovation, and I'm grateful for his care on my knee after a skiing mishap years ago, too. See you soon.

Dr. McGuire will be greatly missed. I had been his patient since the late 1970's up to his retirement. He loved his fishing trips in the King Salmon and Bristol Bay areas and spoke of those moments often.

I was a patient of Dr. Mcguires many years ago. Stuck in a room at Humana Hospital with a terrible staff infection in a knee. I was so bored with hospital food one day Dr. McGuire showed up with a pizza and a 6 pack of beer for me. I have never forgot him or how good that pizza and beer was. It made the time much more bearable. Condolences to the family. Dr. McGuire was a great man. R. I. P.

I just got home from playing hockey with my friends and saw this sad news. Without the 5 procedures Dr McGuire performed on my knee I wouldn't have been able to enjoy a night playing sports with my friends like this. I know I'm only one of many who can say that. My condolences to his family.
