Uncle Bobby was my dad's younger brother. I remember when I was about eight years old, Bobby would've been not quite twenty and he was that kind of uncle who always made sure that us kids were made to feel welcome, like we belonged around the adults. I was shy and would've went unnoticed a lot but Bobby made me important. He was fun when he was young and he didn't out grow it.
Five days ago my dad, Bobby's older brother, Clay Tipton succumbed to illness at the age of seventy two. Now I'll be without two of the great men in my life but I'm blessed that they were here to teach me how to be a kind, smart, hard-working and honest man. They were also doing these things while smiling and they made it look easy sometimes but it certainly isn't easy. Perhaps they are together now, maybe even watching me. If so, I'm going to make sure they see me happy. Thank you uncle Bobby, thank you dad.

Mrs. Tipton we were so sorry to hear that Bob was gone from this earth in body only. He will always remain in our hearts. My husband, Tommy, and I had just mentioned on Saturday that we need to call and see how Bob is doing when he saw the Obit on Sunday. He was so sorry we had not called earlier. He work with Bob at USDA for many years on their phone cable and system. He respected Bob immensely. You will be in our prayers during the coming weeks. Dear Janna,
I am so deeply sorry to hear of your dear Bobby's passing! I know you are broken hearted as are your families, friends & his co-workers. I was so shocked, I didn't know he was sick. I'm glad he isn't suffering anymore & is at peace in the arms of Jesus. I know your faith will carry you though your loss & remember that there are many others praying for you & your family. May God bless you!

My heart is heavy with the thoughts that my "big brother" will no longer (physically) be here to make fun of me and the mistakes I've made. I take comfort in knowing I can still talk to him and get his advice through my prayers. What a joy to have known this quiet, peace-loving man who always championed for the underdog. Janna, I will never forget what you and your wonderful husband did for me and my children in one of my darkest hours...you are my heroes. I wish I could take away your pain in this, your darkest hour. Bobby touched lives with his gentle humor and kind spirit, and I am a better person for having known him. Find strength in our God in the months ahead, Janna. If it's tough--call me and you can cry on my shoulder until you find it again.

November 16, 2012

Janna Beth,

Perhaps they are not the stars,
But rather openings in heaven where
The love of our lost ones pours through
And shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.
I am thankful to have known such a funny, kind and loving man. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

November 16, 2012

Barbara and I wish to express our deepest sympathy to Bob's family. He was a quite, calm and hard worker, who was a real asset to the Fort Reno staff. He will be missed. Words can not remove the grief you must be feeling, but be assured that we are with you in our prayers and take confort in the peace that Bob now shares with the Heavenly Host.
