George Vinson Obituary
Born and raised in Westwood, he was the son of the late Charles M. and Selma (Erickson) Vinson, Jr. He lived in Lynn since 1966.
George was a Korean War Veteran with the U. S. Air Force, and a retired General Electric employee.
He leaves three sons David Vinson of Montana, George E. Vinson, Jr. of New Hampshire and Robert Vinson of Lynn, four daughters Barbara Tate and her husband Donald of Ohio, Janet Raftelis and her husband James of Lynn, Diane Garabedian and her husband Mark of New Hampshire and Cynthia Ruiz and her husband Victor of Lynn. He was also the father of the late Sandra Madden. George leaves many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 11AM in the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.

Dad, today is your birthday and I wish you a very Happy Day. I hope that you are at peace and not suffering any longer because you fought a long hard battle and deserve to be at peace. I really miss our weekend calls, sometime they were shorter than others but we both made each other feel good. I miss your stories and wish I had taken the time to hear more of them. Dad, this candle is for you. I need to keep it burning as you have always lit up my life. I miss you so much I wish I had five more minutes with you to let you know how much I love you and appreciated everything you did for me. Give Mom a hug for me and tell her i love and miss her too. God bless both of their souls.

My memories of George go back to a long time ago, when he was always fixing something or tinkering with something. He was a good man with a sense of humor and a good heart. My heart goes out to his family. God Bless.
