Ruth Ann Roeder

Ruth Ann Roeder, 53 of Lima passed away Friday morning November 6, 2009 at 6:00 a.m. at her residence. She was born in Lima on September 5, 1956 to Roger and Jean (Walsh) Young and they preceded her in death. On September 24, 1997 she married Russell L. Roeder, Jr and he survives in Lima, Ohio.

Mrs. Roeder had been a School Teacher for St. Rose School for 17 years and had also been employed in sales by Macy's for 10 years . She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, had been a graduate of Waynesfield High School and a graduate from Ohio State University. She loved being outdoors, enjoyed their cottage at Lake Erie, loved travelling and doing crosswords.

Ruth is also survived by her stepchildren: Amber and Jessica Roeder both of Lima, three step grandchildren, her siblings: Steve (Tonnia) Young of Lima, David (Linda) Young of Westminster and Gary (Jan) Young of Waynesfield, and by four nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by a step grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2009 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Rev. David Ross as celebrant, and burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery.

Family and friends of Mrs. Roeder can call Sunday November 8 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, 506 N. Cable Rd. Lima, Ohio.
