Richard D. Williams, 86, Apache Junction, Arizona, passed away on September 27, 2010 in Mesa, Arizona. He was born August 28, 1924, in Barberton, Ohio, to Harry E. Williams and Elsie (Hodson) Conway. On February 18, 1984, he married Bonnie Taylor, and she survives.

He served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1958 and then in the United States Air Force from 1958 until 1967 when he retired from the military. During his military career he served in both World War II and the Korean War. He later worked for Reeder and Kline in Carmel until his retirement.

In addition to his wife, Bonnie Williams, he is survived by three daughters, Kimberly A. (Larry) Adam, Peggy L. Richardson, and Pennie A. Wolfe; nine grandchildren, Amy S. (Shawn) Lechner, Staci A. (Brian) Inskeep, Zachary S. (Jamie) Adam, Machen N. (Levi) Rollins, Dustin M. (Katie) Smith, Kysha M. McClish, Malaysha J. Creamer, Christy (Lance) Vines, and Wendy (John) Riley; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn S. and Hollis C. Kiser; two brothers, Robert Williams, and Bobby Williams; and his step-father, Eddie Conway.

The funeral service will be at 12 p.m. on Monday at Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Martin officiating. Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery. Dear Aunt Bonnie, Kim and Larry, Zachary and Jamie: I so enjoyed your photo gallery. What a good life Willie had! He had a good heart and a sense of humor that endeared him to everyone he knew. I won't forget the kindnesses he and you, Aunt Bonnie, showed our family when Dad was so ill. I'm sure he felt blessed to have your family in his life.
