Lynn Sesma Obituary
Lynn was born on November 12, 1952, in Van Nuys, California, to Stanley and Patricia Maurseth. Lynn graduated in 1970 from Reseda High School. In 1972, she graduated from Lawton Medical School for Medical Associates which led to her 33 years of work in the medical field. Lynn was a member of the Ventura County Medical Secretaries and Assistants, serving as corresponding secretary, second vice president and president from 1980-1990. Lynn received the Medical Secretary –Assistant of the Year Award in 1986. In 2007, Lynn was serving as a volunteer for Livingston Memorial where she worked with the elderly she so adored.
Lynn is survived by her best friend and husband of 38 years, Mark Sesma. They loved being together, working in the garden, cooking, and traveling to Cambria for romantic getaways.
Lynn also leaves behind her eldest daughter, Carly Simpson and her husband, Robert Simpson; her youngest daughter Dana Nielsen and her husband, Rick Nielsen; Lynn's greatest joy her grandchildren, Chloe Simpson (6), Grant Simpson (3), Von Nielsen (2), and granddaughter Baby Nielsen due in June.
Lynn will be remembered for her humor, her style, her beauty, her sparkly green eyes, and most importantly her love for her family. We will be together again one day in heaven, but until then you will be missed.
A viewing will be held on Friday the 23rd of March from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home, 3150 Loma Vista Road, Ventura.
Services will take place Saturday, March 24, 2:00 P.M. also at Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura.

Dear Mark, Carly & Dana, I was so sad to hear of Lynn passing. I remember when I lived a couple doors down & we would all get together & laugh till our stomaches hurt. She was my dearest friend for many years. I will keep you & your family in my thoughts & prayers. God Bless you.

So shocked to read about Lynn's passing. Lynn was a beautiful and fun gal. We had lots of fun together in junior high school with our friends .We had many slumber parties together and lots of laughs. She had beautiful eyes. I always admired her. She will be forever in your hearts.

Mark, I was very sorry to hear the news of Lynn passing. Having grown up across the street from Stan, Pat and Lynn I knew them all very well. Even you working with my Dad at the station and the waterskiing vacations at Basslake and lake Havasu are all fond memories. The birth of your two beautiful girls as well. It has been many years though and the miles between our families have kept us apart. My parents and siblings as well as myself would like to tell you have sorry we are for your loss.
