Norman L. Pence

Norman L. Pence, 85, of Lima, died at 8:23 p.m., Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 at St. Rita's Medical Center surrounded by his children. He was born Feb. 7, 1930 in Lima, to David Franklin and Pearl (Huber) Pence who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children: David L. (Joan) Pence of Oregon, OH, Shari (Rob) Waltz and Wayne A. (Chrys) Pence both of Lima; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and his sisters: Esther Cary of Ft. Amanda and Frances K. (Ron) Shanahan of Lima.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Pence.
Mr. Pence retired as General Manager from Raabe. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a 1948 graduate of Lima South High School. His memberships included being a life member of Masonic Lodge #706, American Legion Post 96 and F.O.P.A. He was also a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge 54 and F.O.E. Aerie 370
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m., at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. His funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 1275 and the U.S.M.C. Honor Guard.
