For fifty years the family and staff of Kannaday Funeral Home has provided quality, dignified and caring attention to the needs of families in the Dillon (SC), Latta (SC), and surrounding area. Kannaday Funeral Home was founded in 1970 in Latta, SC to provide professional services to their community. Kananday Funeral Home opened in Dillon in 1987 on Main Street to help serve more people. In 1989 the Kannaday Family purchased Blanton Funeral Home on Highway 57 South. Ryan L. Kannaday, Jr. and his wife, Susan, purchased Greenlawn Cemetery in 2007 and Kannaday Funeral Home in 2009. (Please read Our Story under the tab, Who We Are.) In the last few years we have incorporated a Chaplain, Grief Counsellor and Genealogist to offer free programs to the families we serve. Along with exceptional care of loved ones and families, we also offer Luminary Services annually for Greenlawn Cemetery and Kannaday Funeral Home. With every person we serve, they become a part of our family. Every service takes into consideration the person's beliefs, hobbies and preferences. We believe that every person and family grieve differently and each service should be a remembrance according to the wishes of the person or family. Whether you are planning in advance, or doing so at the time of need, what matters most to us is that the outcome be especially meaningful to you and your family. We offer selections which respect traditional values with progressive funeral and cremation products and services. With exceptional quality and value, we guide families in creating a unique way to remember loved ones. We realize that many times death comes at a time when a family is least prepared financially.
