Description
Since 1905, six generations of our family have provided premium funeral and cremation services to the residents of Springfield and surrounding areas. Families come to us for many reasons, but most of all, because they know our professional staff will provide the comfort and guidance they need during a difficult time. As the largest funeral home in the area and an integral part of the community, Greenlawn Funeral Home offers traditional funerals, cremation options, flowers, monuments, vaults, and more. With more than 850 years of combined funeral service experience, our team has a reputation for exceeding expectations through personalization and attention to detail. We take the time to get to know every family we serve so we can create a meaningful service that pays tribute to their loved one and all that mattered to them. With our state-of-the-art crematory, the first of its kind in Springfield, and the largest cemetery in the area, we can meet every end-of-life need. Plus, during a time when convenience matters, our facilities are easy to find and access. A lot has changed since we first opened our doors over a century ago, but our commitment to our community and the families we serve remains the same. We’re here to walk alongside you whenever you need us.

I do not have a business related experience nor will I ever use this business due to the owner's rudeness. The owner of the establishment waited in the parking lot to harass and threaten people with towing their car from his parking lot. Full disclosure he does have posted that cars will be towed at owners expense. I admit he was right, but the way he handled the situation was beyond inappropriate. This was a Friday night in a small town, one of the busiest restaurants in town is located behind the establishment (parking is very limited), and this was after normal business hours (roughly 6:30-7:15) Most businesses on the square or near the square are private/customer parking until 5 p.m., then its open. There was no visitation or funeral services going on at this time, had there been I definitely would not have parked there. Once he very rudely informed me he was waiting on the tow truck to come tow my car i called my family who were visiting from out of town to let them know to move their car (they were still inside). When I tried to explain to my SiL where else she might find parking this JA kept yelling over me. Trust me if I ever hear of anyone, who in a moment of grief over a lost loved one, is trying to figure out where to have their service, this story will be retold and my recommendation will be for one of the other two funeral homes in the community. This is a small town community and this guy needs to lighten up, especially after the last year we've all had. Anyone reading this trying to find a funeral home for your loved one, don't go here. There is a lovely establishment just down the road not even a tenth of a mile.
