Andre Edwards

Andre Edwards Andre Edwards was the precious only child born to the late Felecia Edwards of Buffalo, New York on December 7, 1972. Andre was raised in Buffalo and attended Buffalo Public Schools. Andre's family circle included the foster family that he grew up with, lovingly led by Ms. Christine Reid. Andre developed brotherly and sisterly relationships with the children who were part of Ms. Christine's family, and with one brother in particular, J.J. ("Buck"), he shared a significant bond as god brother. In 2012, Andre, who was affectionately known as "Dirt," was a victim of gun violence and became paralyzed from the waist down. Prior to this unfortunate occurrence, Andre was employed with Tyson Foods. In his leisure time, he had a passion for drawing, watching the History Channel and movies. He became a movie buff and was known for being able to quote a line from anyone's favorite movie. He loved spending time at family gatherings, laughing and cracking jokes. Andre departed this life on May 5, 2014 at 41 years old. His memory is lovingly cherished by his god mother Jackie Hamlett who he affectionately called "Sissy;" god brothers J.J. ("Buck") Miller (Marielyn) and Jeffery Miller; uncles Stevie, John and Ellis Edwards; aunts Doba Deleris Paul and Brenda Edwards; close cousins Latasha Johnson of Forest Park, GA and Sharleen Session who is affectionately known as "Woo;" cousins Stevie Jr. and Daniel Edwards, and a host of other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his mother Felicia, Andre was also preceded in death by his foster mother, Christine Reid.
