Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. is a caring, family owned and operated funeral home. We are here to provide for all your funeral and bereavement needs. We are located in Hellertown and Schnecksville, Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. Our location in Hellertown has been in operation since 1897. Pliny A. Bergstresser first opened the funeral home when he combined the business with a cabinet making and furniture sales store. Then in 1942, Clarence W. Templeton purchased the funeral home. Templeton Funeral Home was in operation for 42 years before Clarence desired to retire. While searching for a proper candidate to take over his business he was quoted in saying “We’re not selling a hotdog stand, you know.” The Heintzelman Family had owned and operated a funeral home in Schnecksville since 1938, and proved to be the best candidate. The Heintzelman Family bought the funeral home in 1984, and named David J. Heintzelman the supervisor of the Templeton-Heintzelman Funeral Home. In 1986 the name was changed to the Heintzelman Funeral Home. The Heintzelman family then incorporated both locations (Schnecksville and Hellertown) and became Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. in 1993. Keeping up with the needs and desires of the families they serve, David J. Heintzelman and Robert B. Heintzelman opened the Lehigh Valley Crematory Services, Inc. in 2004 and the Forever Remembered Hearse Company in 2005. David and his staff continue to care for Hellertown and the surrounding communities to this day.

I was looking to plan a celebration of life after my brothers sudden passing. I am from out of state, and Kristen was so very assuring and pleasant to work with. I had never done this before, so she was a tremendous help, and would not have made it through without her. The food was incredibly delicious as well as reasonably priced. The venue was beautiful. i hope I do not need their services soon, but if I would, I would go back in a heartbeat.

Assisted in organizing a Hindu funeral here. Mr. Heintzelman, Nathan & Taylor were very considerate and helpful. The cremation area is just behind the funeral home.

We have had the opportunity to use this business on two occasions. Each time (with almost a decade in between) we were treated with care, comfort, and humor. They were innately able to assess what our family individually needed to work through the planning of each funeral, providing quality and cost effective options. The only drawback was the hideous matching February ties.... Seriously David, address that issue :) But in all seriousness, these gentlemen were all fabulous and would confidently recommend this business to anyone in need!

I got a very strange call from this number. They left a voice mail and it’s a piano playing behind with a woman speaking in what I believe could be Mandarin so I can’t understand what is being said.
