Prairie Hills Funeral Home of Julesburg is located at the same location as the formerly known Austin-Tennant Funeral Home, at 310 West 5th Street. With our private family meeting rooms, modern technology, and a spacious chapel accommodating 150 family and friends, we provide the utmost comfort possible in the honoring of your loved ones. At Prairie Hills Funeral Home of Julesburg we also offer live streaming of services at no additional charge for those unable to attend. Jason Tickle grew up in Hastings, Nebraska where he graduated from Hastings Public Schools. He went on to attend college in Hastings, eventually moving to Cozad to complete his Mortuary Science Apprenticeship under teacher and mentor, Jerry Tickle. After completing his undergraduate hours, Jason moved to Kansas City, MO where he worked at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home and attended Mortuary School concurrently. Jason returned to Cozad in 2006, where he completed his apprenticeship and eventually took over Berryman Funeral Home from his uncle Jerry. Jason married Meghan Parkinson, of Hastings, on May 26, 2007 at Hastings. The family moved to Ogallala in October of 2013, upon their purchase of Gubser Funeral Home (now Prairie Hills Funeral Home). Jason and Meghan have been blessed with 2 daughters, Samantha & Elizabeth; and 2 sons, Aaron & Andrew. He and Meghan are members of St. Luke's Catholic Church in Ogallala. Jason and Meghan are the owners of Prairie Hills Funeral Home of Ogallala, NE and Bullock-Long Funeral Home of Grant, NE.
