Bernice M. Hartley

Funeral services for Bernice M. Hartley, 95 of Jax, FL will be held in the chapel of George H. Hewell and Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd, S. Jax, FL 32216 at 10AM on Saturday, May 7, 2016 with Dr. Rodney Keith officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Bernice is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Clarence E. Hartley. She is survived by a daughter; Marcia Earick Senterfitt (Troy). Two sons; Wayne Earick (Kathy) and Bruce Earick (Karen).   Six Grandchildren; Leslie Johnson (Mike Davis), Wayne Earick, Jr., Stacie Kinser (Eddie), Victoria Schultz (Steve), Paula Earick Stuart, Troy Johns (Amy) and fourteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and the Hartley family. She was a member of Gardenview Baptist Church. She retired from Bell South after forty two years of service. She was a member of the Communications Workers of America Retired Members Club and the AT&T Pioneers. Bernice had a green thumb, she enjoyed gardening and roses were her favorite. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
