He was a good friend of mine in 1984-1985 while serving in the USMC in 29 Palms, California. I have been researching my Genealogy online and thought about him and others that I served with...so I did a search. I am sorry that I missed this notification. My condolences to his family and friends. God Bless.

Lt. Jeff,
I had the honor of working with Jeff during our meetings we attended together at Rancho Springs going over assualt cases. If I had to describe him in a few words, they would be genuine, faithful, and joy to be around. HIS light will continue to shine through those who were blessed enough to know Jeff. Prayers and thoughts are with his family..

Jeff helped me and my family many years ago when others wouldn't. I never forgot that. Your kindness brought me closer to the Lord. Your teachings helped me better understand the Lord. I will always do as you did and help others when I see they need help. Thank you for saving me.

Lt. Pinney,
I met you around 2002 when you were a Corporal. I was about 18 years old and working a dead end job in Hemet. You took 5 mins out of your day to stop and chat with me and told me to explore law enforcement. Your kind words of encouragement started my pursuit into what I have become today. Sir it's partially because of you that I'm a police officer. Thank you. You are the example of what police officer should be.
